Trap Mechanics explained.

2
Aya is an upcoming new LRIG that uses Trick SIGNIs with Trap mechanics

3
Trap contains special effects that can be set up on the SIGNI zone.

5
A SIGNI with this stated sign would be a Trap card. Only Trap card can be placed faced down on the SIGNI zone, and each SIGNI zone can only accommodate 1 Trap card. You can replace the trap cards with a new 1 by trashing them away.

7
When a SIGNI opposite the Trap attacks, if your SIGNI zone has no SIGNI on it, you must flip over the Trap card to activate it. After the Trap card is done with it's effect, it goes into the trash. *Special Note: You can set any cards as a Trap card face down on the SIGNI zone, forcing your opponent to a mind game match, but only cards with Trap symbols have effects.*

2
Due to the rulings, you can't place Trap card down on the field normally, and must use certain effects to set up the Trap cards on your SIGNI zone, for example, this SIGNI.

2
Fig 1. Your opponent attacks.

3
Fig 2. How a activate Trap looks like.

5
* If your opponent attacks while you have a SIGNI on top of the Trap, and banish it normally, the Trap card do not activate due to the Trap card activating before the damage is taken*

5
*But, if your opponent attacks and uses their ability to banish the SIGNI infront of it [For example, Bolshack's attack banish ability], due to attacking player's priority, his/her effect activates 1st, banishing the SIGNI in front of it.

3
Then, due to the SIGNI zone being empty right now, you are able to flip over your Trap card to activate it's ability, before the damage is taken place. After the card's effect is settled, then the damage is calculated normally.
